On 1 April 2017 Wagga Wagga City Council requested tenders for a new kerbside contract. A number of waste management service providers made submissions which has resulted in a competitive field and great opportunity for Council to find the best fit for the waste management goals of our community.
At the Council meeting on Monday 24 July Council resolved to accept a tender for the collection of kerbside waste to commence 2 April 2018. Council also accepted a tender for the processing of recyclables, however Council will continue to negotiate a competitive tender for the processing of food organics and garden organics (FOGO) material.
